Dreadful Day Ever
It all started with a terrible case of uncontrollable hair. I couldn't do it to look right. As I was running out the door, I fell and with a thud all over the floor. To make matters worse, I was completely late for school.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
